Manchester United 2026/2027 home & away kit leaks surfacing
Leaked assets of Manchester United’s 2026/27 home and away kits have surfaced online, with a clear nod to some of the club’s most iconic designs of the past.
We’re still in the early stages of the 2025/26 Premier League season, but that doesn’t mean every top club isn’t hard at work putting their 2026/27 campaign together, from budgets to branding and everything in between.
The early look, shared by reliable kit outlet FootyHeadlines, shows both Adidas shirts embracing bold, nostalgic aesthetics that throw back to the 1970s and 1980s. While the full kits aren’t fully leaked yet, the colours chosen could indicate what to expect next year.
Home kit channels classic 70s design
The Manchester United 26/27 home shirt sticks with the club’s trademark red base, but adds vintage flair with a striped collar and sleeve trim inspired by the Admiral kits worn between 1975 and 1980, according to FootyHeadlines.

White accents are set to return on the collar and cuffs, keeping the overall look clean and unmistakably traditional.
While final detailing could still evolve before launch, the overall concept could hint towards something bigger than simply a retro-inspired kit. Manchester United were relegated in 1974 before immediate promotion in 1975. A few years later, a spritely young manager named Alex Ferguson took over, and thus began a period of serious dominance for the club.
Could this kit be a hint – or perhaps, even a promise – of what’s to come for this dormant giant under the guidance of Ruben Amorim?
Royal blue away kit revives fan-favourite look

United’s away kit for 2026/27 is set to feature a familiar combination for fans of the club. The shirt features a royal blue base with red trim, echoing the popular away strips from the mid-to-late 1980s, when Adidas first worked with the club under the Sharp sponsorship.
This is a colour combo that has featured regularly ever since, for example in the 05/06 away kit and 16/17 away kit.
As has been common in recent years, expect some kind of subtle detailing on the away kit, be it a unique design or graphic emblazoned across the shirt.
While neither kit has been fully leaked since, what we have seen should give some indication as to what to expect.
Retro revival fits Adidas’ ongoing strategy
The return to 70s and 80s design cues continues Adidas’ push to blend nostalgia with modern designs, something that has consistently resonated strongly with fans across Europe over the years.
No official release date has been confirmed yet, but the leaks suggest both kits will be part of Adidas’ early-summer 2026 drop, in time for pre-season.
