7. Chelsea - Nike 2025/26 Third Shirt

We start this list with Nike’s all-new Total 90 range, with this absolute fan-favourite amongst Chelsea fans, the black and light silver T90 third shirt is offset by subtle Chelsea blue running throughout in the piping and sleeves.

As with other Nike Total 90 third shirts this year, this shirt also features a classic Chelsea “CFC crest, which hasn’t been used in over 20 years. The noughties nostalgia runs deep in this Chelsea number.

6. Hearts - Hummel 2025/26 Third Shirt

Another third shirt, but this time for the only Hummel addition in this list, the Hearts black and gold third shirt. 

Black and gold is a colourway that is an absolute classic. It always looks great, never disappoints, and Hummel have really delivered this season for Hearts in this shirt, which has been reflected on the pitch this season as they top the Scottish Premier League currently.

This isn’t the only black and gold shirt to feature in this list however, with an incredible entry later down the list.

5. Inter Miami - adidas 2025/26 Away Shirt

With the half-and-half detailing featuring black and dark charcoal grey, the iconic Miami pink across the front of the shirt and the name and number sets really pop and adds some life to a dark, but perfectly simple kit.

The alternating sleeve and stripe colours in black and charcoal also look great, and this shirt really completes the set of three great shirts for Inter Miami this season, alongside the vibrancy of the bright pink home and brilliant blue third shirts.

4. Mexico - adidas 2025 Gold Shirt

As already mentioned, black and gold is an unbeaten colourway, and the Mexico Gold shirt does not disappoint. Featuring the adidas trefoil logo on a Mexico shirt in over 30 years, this shirt as released earlier in 2025 ahead of the Concacaf Gold Cup, in which Mexico won it beating USA in the final.

This shirt features details throughout the collar and cuffs that are inspired by the Mexican tradition of Mariachi, and was released alongside a stunning lifestyle range also in the black and gold colourway that complimented it perfectly.

3. Corinthians - 2025/26 Nike Third Shirt

The second Total 90 entry in our top black football shirts of this season, and this one edges into our top 3 for such a striking colourway. Looking like a concept mid-noughties Netherlands away shirt, the bright orange offsets the pitch black throughout the kit so well, as well as the large Corinthians Paulista crest.

But what sets this shirt apart from the other Nike T90 kits this season? The use of the classic Total 90 font and circle for player numbers on the front of the shirt too, a real nod to this design from the 2004 international team shirts which featured this on the front also.

2. Juventus - adidas 2025/26 Third Shirt

With a subtle print paying homage to Piedmont’s wine-making tradition and vineyards, this adidas Juventus third shirt tops our list as this season’s best black football shirt.

Featuring the trefoil adidas logo coupled with the Juventus horse badge, rather than the “J” crest seen on their home and away efforts, this kit is an instant classic, to be rocked at all times whether it’s at 6-a-side or to finish your streetwear fit.

1. Portugal - Puma 2025/26 Special Edition Eusebio Shirt

A shirt inspired by the great Eusebio, Puma released the 2025/26 special edition Portugal shirt in his honour to commemorate 60 years since he became the first ever Portuguese player to ever be crowned the world’s best, winning the Balon d’Or whilst playing for Benfica, and is still the only ever Benfica player to be crowned this honour.

The authentic version with “13” printed, Eusebio’s number, as well as coming with a bilingual storybook about Eusebio was limited to 1965 pieces, selling out, with a fan-version also available and worn by the Portuguese national team for the first time in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
